Overview
Digital Fleet's Truck Replay feature allows web users to review a truck’s movement and activities by combining GPS data with delivery tickets, status events, and historical job site movement. This all-in-one tool gives you full visibility into every truck’s journey from the plant to the job site.
Accessing Truck Replay
The web platform includes multiple access points for entering replay, each automatically populating the replay with relevant date, truck, and ticket parameters
The Map - Replay links are accessible in both the truck slide-out and truck pop-over. Clicking either link will launch the replay and automatically show the truck's activity for the current calendar day.
Ticket Dashboard - Replay links are accessible in the wrench menu for each ticket on the dashboard. Clicking a link will launch the replay, automatically displaying the truck's activity for the day the ticket was worked and filtered to the selected ticket.
Ticket Details - Replay links are accessible in the header of the ticket details page. Clicking the link will launch the replay, automatically displaying the truck's activity for the day the ticket was worked and filtered to the selected ticket.
Truck Dashboard - Replay links are accessible in the Truck Summary panel on the left side of the screen and next to each ticket within the summary sections. Clicking a truck link will launch the replay and display all of the truck's activity for the current calendar day, while clicking a ticket link will automatically filter the replay to the selected ticket.
Main Menu - Replay can also be accessed directly from the main menu, where the user will need to provide the required truck and date parameters. This can be done by clicking the 'Set Replay Criteria' button in the top-left side panel.
Truck Replay Features
Digital Fleet's Truck Replay allows web users to view a truck's movement and status activity for up to a 24 hour period at a time. The center section of replay provides were with a map populated with nodes indicating the geolocation of each item in the replay’s timeline. The playback control bar can be used to step thorough the individual nodes/events, or to refocus the map on the selected ticket(s).
The Info panel on the left side of the view provides users with additional details related to the tickets and status. Sections include:
- Search Criteria - The criteria for the current replay search are displayed at the top of the left-side panel. This shows the basic parameters controlling what’s displayed in the replay: the truck and the base date range. These criteria can be updated by clicking the “edit” icon and changing the Replay Settings.
- Current Node Summary - Some summary information about the currently selected node in the replay is displayed at the top of the left-side panel, below the Search Criteria. This shows the ticket and order number active at that particular point in time, as well as a ticket status and duration. For some nodes, this information may not be available, for example if you select a GPS node for a time when the truck was not on a ticket.
- Timeline Tab - Shows a detailed history of all the activity displayed on the map, ordered by time. This includes GPS pings, truck and ticket status events, job site updates, etc. Filters can be used to restrict the items shown in the timeline and on the map. Items in the timeline can be selected to highlight the corresponding marker on the map, and vice-versa.
- Tickets Tab - Shows a list of all tickets that a truck worked during the selected period of time. Each ticket includes a collapsible list of details and ticket events. Items in the event list can be selected to highlight the corresponding marker on the map. Each ticket header has a set of action icons, which can be used to filter and zoom to an individual ticket, or to open browser tabs to view the ticket details and order dashboard pages.
The Filters panel on the right side of the view is used to show/hide artifacts from the current replay view. There are a number of map marker filters that a user can toggle on/off to customize their view:
- Events - Ticket and truck status events
- Blocked Events - Status events that the system blocked and prevented a status transition from occurring
-
GPS Pings - Individual waypoints indicating when GPS location data was reported by Digitrack
-
Job Sites - Updates to any job sites for the selected truck’s tickets
-
Truck Path - A line connecting each GPS ping reported by Digitrack
-
Highlight Speeding - Any GPS pings where the driver was speeding will be highlighted with a red border. GPS Pings must be enabled to view the speeding highlighting.
Ticket filters let a user focus their current view on a single ticket or route. This will also filter the activity displayed in the timeline view of the details panel on the left hand panel.
-
Include Pre/Post Ticket Time - This setting is used to expand the view of a single ticket to include any unticked time that bookends the selected ticket. When enabled, the filtered timeframe will expand to include any truck activity that was recorded after the truck's previous and before the truck's next ticket. When disabled you will only see activity recorded while the truck was working the filtered ticket. The Pre/Post Ticket Time has no effect
Light and Dark Mode
Replay is available in both light and dark mode, allowing users to choose the display that best suits their preference or environment.
