Digital Fleet is excited to announce the initial release of the Dispatch and Hardware dashboards accessible through the left hand navigation. One of the consistent feedbacks we hear from our users centers on the difficulty to access meaningful data in a timely manner. This can range from what trucks are returning to a plant to what software versions the fleet is currently using. With this feedback in mind, our goal with the dashboards is to surface information a web user needs to better understand where they should focus their attention without overwhelming them with data that gets in the way.
This philosophy is seen in the first two Dispatch dashboard modules we are releasing. The Trucks Returning module is focused on identifying what trucks are currently returning to a yard with ETA to help dispatchers determine how to plan out current and future orders. This section can be filtered down to specific yards by selecting the icon and includes a closable map view to only display information the dispatcher is interested in. Additionally, there’s a section to show trucks that are not currently ticketed to improve visibility into who is available.
The Truck GPS Signals Lost module is focused on identifying trucks that should be reporting GPS data but haven’t in 15 or more minutes. While we’ve been using the dashboards, we’ve found this helps identify potential tracking issues with a truck so it can be corrected in a timely manner.
On the Hardware dashboard, the focus is on insights into software versions used across your fleet and identification of any truck devices that aren’t reporting as expected. We’ve found this dashboard to greatly improve visibility into tablets you should target for software version updates along with identifying what trucks aren’t properly reporting engine data or GPS. This will allow for proactive fixing of issues instead of waiting on a driver or dispatcher to report an issue which has a greater chance of impacting daily operations.
We hope you find these dashboards as useful as we have in the short time we’ve been using them. Please let us know your thoughts by emailing support@digitalfleet.com as we plan on adding more functionality through additional dashboards focused on operational efficiency.
