The Digital Fleet+ system automatically detects and reports several error conditions that could affect the operation of the system. These errors are displayed in the Digital Fleet+ Issues module on the Hardware Dashboard.
Below is a list of error codes that you may see on the Hardware Dashboard, along with a description of the error, and some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
Error | Description | Troubleshooting |
BLUETOOTH DISABLED | Bluetooth is disabled on the tablet. Bluetooth is required for the DF+ system to operate. | Enable Bluetooth on the tablet and pair the tablet to the DF+ bridge. |
DISCONNECTED | The tablet is not connected via Bluetooth to the DF+ bridge while a driver is actively logged into the truck. | Click the red DF+ icon on the tablet to connect the tablet to the DF+ bridge. Verify data is displayed on the DF+ data screen. |
UPDATE FAILED | An attempt to update the software on the DF+ hub failed. |
Turn off the truck, but leave the ignition on. Logout of the tablet. Try to perform the DF+ firmware update again. If it fails again, check the LED on the DF+ hub. If it is red, disconnect/reconnect power to the HUB to reboot it, and try to perform the firmware update again. |
MISSING ENGINE DATA | The DF+ system is no longer receiving engine data when the truck is running, when it used to. |
Ensure the DF+ system is properly connected to the CAN bus, and the tablet is connected via Bluetooth to the DF+ bridge. Ensure the proper baud rate is selected for your truck. Baud rate changes on the Digital Fleet website require that the DF+ hub be power cycled before the changes are applied. |
MISSING CHASSIS DATA | The DF+ system is no longer receiving chassis data when the truck is running, when it used to. |
IGNITION THRASHING | The DF+ system is detecting that ignition is constantly switching between on and off at the current moment in time. | This is likely due to a wiring issue with the DF+ installation. Check to ensure the DF+ system is wired to the battery, and not ignition or PTO. |
HIGH_RPMS | A drum speed exceeding 24 RPMs has been detected recently. |
Ensure the drum sensors are properly aligned with the magnets, and that both sensors are operational. For some DF+ drum sensors, a gear box type must be specified. If using one of those sensors, ensure that the proper gear box type is selected. |
NO_DRUM_COUNT | Drum count is not being collected and submitted to the platform. |
Ensure the drum sensors are properly aligned with the magnets, and that both sensors are operational. If not using DF+ drum sensors, then check to make sure your truck's drum count hardware is installed and functioning properly. |
DRUM_SPEED_NOT_UPDATING | Drum speed did not change at all over the course of the last completed ticket. |
If using DF+ drum rotation sensors, ensure the drum sensors are properly aligned with the magnets, and that both sensors are operational. Verify that the tablet is paired to the DF+ bridge and reading data on the DF+ data screen. Verify the proper drum sensor is specified for the given truck, and if applicable, the proper gear box type is selected. |
DRUM_COUNT_NOT_UPDATING | Drum count did not change at all over the course of the last completed ticket. |
DRUM_MIX_COUNT_NOT_UPDATING | Drum mix count did not change at all over the course of the last completed ticket. |
NO_CHARGE_PSI | Charge pressure is not being collected and submitted to the platform. |
Ensure the proper charge pressure sensor is selected for the given truck. Ensure the charge pressure sensor is installed properly, and the wire is securely connected to the sensor and the DF+ hub. |
OPEN_CIRCUIT | An open circuit has been detected for this sensor. | Ensure the sensor is connected, and the wiring has not been damaged or severed. |
NOT_DETECTED | A sensor is configured for the DF+ unit, but the DF+ hub was not able to detect its presence. | Ensure the configuration is correct, and that the sensor is functioning, and has not been damaged or disconnected. |
SHORT_CIRCUIT | A short circuit has been detected for the sensor. | Check the wiring for this sensor, and verify it has not been damaged or disconnected. |
LOW_VOLTAGE | Voltage from this sensor is below the expected threshold. | This may indicate a faulty sensor. Test the sensor using the DF+ data screen on the tablet to determine if any data is being collected for the sensor. |
HIGH_VOLTAGE | Voltage from this sensor is above the expected threshold. | This may indicate a faulty sensor. Test the sensor using the DF+ data screen on the tablet to determine if any data is being collected for the sensor. |
WRONG_RATE | The DF+ system is configured with the wrong baud rate. | Change the baud rate for this device in the Digital Fleet+ Devices section of the Digital Fleet web application. Baud rate changes on the Digital Fleet website require that the DF+ hub be power cycled before the changes are applied. |
MISSING_SENSOR | One of the two drum rotation sensors is missing. | Check to make sure both sensors are present and operational. |
UNABLE_TO_DETECT_DIRECTION | The drum rotation sensors could not properly detect the drum's direction. | Check to make sure both sensors are present and operational. |
